School hours, Conferences, Communication
School hours are 8:30- 2:42. Students are let in the classroom by 8:20. First bell (warning) rings at 8:25, then the tardy bell rings at 8:30 with announcements promptly starting after the bell rings. Attendance and lunch count are taken at this time. Parent pick up dismissal starts around 2:35, all other students are dismissed at 2:42.
I will be available for conferences before or after school depending on the day of the week. If you would like to schedule a conference, please contact me and I will send you some days and times to choose from.
You can contact me via phone using the school number (904-336-0975), email (email@example.com), handwritten note sent in with your child or Facebook messenger. Email and Facebook messenger would be the fastest way to get a response back from me, however, I will respond to phone calls and notes as soon as possible.
I use this website and my class Facebook page as my way to communicate with you throughout the week of any important announcements, needs, etc.... Please be sure to check these weekly.
There is a list of supplies that you may have been given when you were registering or one that you picked up at the store, however, please check my list to see what you may not need to purchase (meaning I already have a stock of some things) or supplies that I will need that is not on the list (such as headphones-each student must provide their own). My list is posted under Class Information tab.
Skittles and Smartees are always appreciated! (Individually wrapped and big bags) Marshmallows (mini) are good too!
We will be using Chromebooks, iPads and computers throughout the year for educational assignments, games and testing. Every child will need their own set of headphones/earbuds to use since we have class sets of Chromebooks that we could use.
We have a room parent already to take care of us throughout the year, however, we may need more than one volunteer or one on a day that our room parent is not available. If you are able to volunteer in the classroom at any time during the year, please contact me to let me know you are available and also please fill out the Volunteer Form at Open House. During our winter holiday party, I will definitely need some extra hands.
We will be taking two field trips this year. The first one will be to Amazing Grace Crop Maze in October, the second one is still to be determined. If you would like to chaperone, please be sure to go ahead and fill out the Volunteer form at Open House to have on file and that will be one less thing to do.
